Horalix at Future Leaders Summit 2025!
Three days, one booth, and dozens of sharp conversations. FLS 2025 reminded us why building in Bosnia and Herzegovina feels exciting again.
In December 2025, Sarajevo felt loud in the best way.
From December 19–21 at Hotel Hills, the Future Leaders Summit (FLS) brought together students, young professionals, diaspora voices, and people from the public and private sectors to talk about leadership, social change, and collective action. Horalix showed up with one simple plan: be present, be useful, and have real conversations.
We had a booth, which is basically the “spawn point” for spontaneous ideas. You start with small talk and suddenly you’re deep in a conversation about healthcare, innovation, and what it actually takes to build something serious in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We met students who are genuinely hungry to create, professionals who want to collaborate, and people who were surprised (in a good way) by what’s being built locally.
What we loved most is that FLS didn’t stay trapped on a stage. Alongside panels and talks, there were company visits that made everything feel practical; not theory, not vibes, but real teams doing real work. There were also sessions that tackled tangible problems, including a workshop focused on flood prevention and nature-based solutions. That kind of topic sticks because it connects leadership to reality, not just ambition.
FLS also does something rare: it pulls together different worlds without making it feel chaotic. One moment you’re in conversations about science and medicine, the next you’re talking entrepreneurship, civic leadership, youth activism, and career paths, all while still landing as one coherent message: communities move forward when capable people meet, learn, and decide to actually do something.
With BH Futures Foundation marking a decade of work, the whole summit carried a bit of momentum. Not hype. Momentum. The kind that makes you leave tired, proud, and slightly impatient to get back to building.
And yes, the food was great. That matters more than people admit. Good food makes networking feel less like networking and more like a room full of humans.
We left FLS 2025 with a full notebook, new contacts we’re excited to follow up with, and the best post-event feeling you can get: “Okay. Next.”
